Square Enix launched the smartphone port of Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry’s Wonderland 3D titled Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry’s Wonderland SP today in Japan. For the first week, the game will cost 1600 yen before increasing to 2400 yen after that. The game is only available in Japan.
Changes made from the original game include:
- Optimized controls for mobile gaming
The layout of the game is changed to better suit mobile gaming. It is now possible to play the game with one hand.
- New monsters
New monsters are introduced to the smartphone port, including monsters from Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age. These new additions push the number of different monsters in the game to more than 650.
- Auto-Battle and Effortless Adventure
These two features allow players to experience a more casual gameplay. Auto-Battle allows players to skip right to the results instead of sitting through an entire battle. Players can also select Effortless Adventure to auto-explore selected dungeons. Both these features yield gold and experience.
- Possible new area
There are rumors that there is a new unexplored area waiting to be found in the game.
- Play against other players’ parties
It is now possible to play against other players using the ‘Online Foreign Land Masters’ mode. In order to play against them, players will have to download Foreign Land Masters into an arena.
