Clash Royale has recently released the Clone card in the game. For those who have yet to know what the Clone card does, it clones your deployed units in an area. So with a clever and timely used Clone card, you can dominate the game pretty much, though the clones that were created would be dead in just 1 hit. Nonetheless they still deal a ton of damage to the enemy forces if they do not kill your clones.
The Clone card is unlockable from Arena 8. You can cast the Clone card anywhere on the map but it does not clone buildings. You can buy a stack of 10 Clone cards for 400 Gems which you can use them to level your spell card. Below are the stats of the card as it levels:
Here’s a video of what the Clone card does:

The Clone card is very useful in situations. As seen in the video above, OJ (Orange Juice) has exploited the way it can be used. When you clone a unit, the original unit will always appear to be on the right. As you put your units between the two lanes, you can use the Clone card to split push. However while being cloned, the unit will stop moving and attacking. Even the Inferno Dragon charge will cease so you’ll have to re-think before you use the spell.
Here are some of the cards that are fun to clone:
- Witch, her skeletons deal full damage but have only 1 HP, which is fine since skeletons don’t have high HP pool anyway.
- Lava Hound, because a cloned Lava Hound has 1 HP and when it dies it will spawn Lava Pups. So it’s great when the tower switches targets to your original unit while the pups continues to deal damage.
- Skeleton Army, because horde is power! Of course opponents will obliterate them easily with a fireball or arrows so this will need to be played strategically.
Like I’ve said before, split pushing is possible when you place your unit between lanes. It can also be done when a unit is between 2 buildings. That way the original unit will be close to the right side and will be able to take less damage if there’s a defensive tower put in the middle. The Clone card can also dispel your Frozen units. When your units are frozen, just clone them and they will be free from it.
As seen in the video, OJ tried to use Mirror on the Clone unit, but it doesn’t work. It only clones the original unit. However you can use Mirror on your unit and then use Clone. When summoned a horde card for example, Minion Force, if 1 minion is left you can only clone that 1 minion. Cloned Dark Prince and Guards’ shields can only take a hit so giving cloned units at least 2 HP.
Remember this though, the worst enemy of clones are units that can deal splash damage. Happy gaming!
