Ghostbusters World Review – Not just a Pokemon GO with ghosts, it comes with more variety of gameplays

We first heard of Ghostbusters World, an AR game by 4:33 and NextAge back in February and the game looks really interesting with a lot of new features aside from just capturing ghosts. Now the game has finally launched for both Android and iOS, here is our Ghostbusters World Review where we will talk about the game details as well as our experience of the game!

Playing as a Ghostbuster, you will follow the footsteps of ghost-busting greats like Peter Venkman, Raymond Stantz, Egon Spengler, and Winston Zeddmore, by strapping on your own proton pack and going out on ghost patrol. The gameplay is basically what you did in Pokemon GO, except that you are fighting against ghosts this time.

The game features hundreds of ghosts across the Ghostbusters franchise, some new ghosts unique to the franchise are getting featured in the game too. Capturing ghosts are not easy like Pokemon GO, the ghosts will attack you and you will have to battle against them, weaken them before you can pull them into a ghost trap.

We have PokeStops where we can check in every few minutes to get items and resources in Pokemon GO, while in Ghostbusters World we have Dimension Doors. You can find them around your neighborhood easily, or you can set up one at your current location!

The ghosts you captured are not just for your collection, you can build a squad with them too. Ghosts come in different rarity, element types and battle types, they will have their unique leader skill, passive, normal and special skills as well. You can level up and upgrade their rank to increase their CP.

There is a Story mode featuring new exclusive writing and art by the team behind the beloved IDW comic book series, and you will participate in turn-based battles as you progress the story. While the PvP mode allows you to asynchronous PvP battles with other players, and there are some raid bosses around (like the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man) that you can team up with up to 4 friends in your area to take on him together.

As an addition, you can customize your appearance and equipment anytime you want, the weapons can be upgraded for better stats such as higher damage and reduced reload time as well. You can convert Ecto-sphere to obtain a random ghost, but this time you don’t need to walk a few KMs to hatch it, all you need to do is wait for a few hours.
