The Command & Conquer series has been a great series ever since it was released back in 1995. EA has continued to release the series with the latest one, Command & Conquer: Rivals, which wasn’t really well received by fans. However, there’s news that the old Command & Conquer series will get remastered! This news was plucked from Reddit where Electronic Arts producer Jim Vessella posted a message there asking if fans would be pleased to see a return of the old series onto PC.
In the post, Jim Vessella wrote, “As most of you may know, we recently announced Command & Conquer: Rivals, a mobile game set in the Command & Conquer universe. Following the reveal of Rivals, we heard you loud and clear: the Command & Conquer community also wants to see the franchise return to PC. And as a fan of C&C for over 20 years, I couldn’t agree more. With that in mind we’ve been exploring some exciting ideas regarding remastering the classic PC games, and already have the ball rolling on our first effort to celebrate the upcoming 25th Year Anniversary.”
Though Vessella mentioned that they’ve “been exploring exciting ideas regarding remastering the classic PC games“, this idea is most likely happening as they “already have the ball rolling” to celebrate the upcoming 25th Year Anniversary. Though that’s in the year 2020, so it’s still quite a long ways to go. So what do you guys think? Are you guys excited for the remaster version of the series? Or if you are interested in Command & Conquer: Rivals for mobile, you can pre-register now!
