2019 to see launch of Azur Lane: Crosswave in Japan

Publisher Compile Heart and developer Felistella have announced that Azur Lane: Crosswave will be out for the PlayStation 4 in Japan in 2019. Dubbed an advanced naval battle RPG, the game will of course be based Azur Lane’s outing on the smartphone.

With the official site opened, we get a glimpse into the game’s story and world setting, as well as on overview of the original release.

The four nations of Eagle Union, Royal Navy, Ironblood, and Sakura Empire are no longer at war with one another, and have decided to collaborate to hold a joint war games. Here, key members from each faction will partake although what awaits them remains unknown.

For the uninitiated, Azur Lane is a side-scrolling shoot ’em up currently available on iOS and Android devices where where players assemble a fleet of KAN-SEN, anthropomorphised personification of real world battleships to fight against an assortment of threats.
