Southeast Asia’s premier game convention – GameStart is back for its 5th edition this month! GameStart 2018 will be held in Singapore on 13 and 14 October with a bunch of exciting activities, and we are proud to be one of the media partners for the event!

This year, GameStart 2018 is bringing back annual favourites as well as new and exciting content for everyone which includes game showcases and previews, esports, cosplay and more. Popular game developers and publishers such as Cygames, miHoYo (Honkai 3rd Impact) and BattleBrew Productions will be showcasing their latest and upcoming games for you to enjoy.

Including in the eSports event is SEA Major (SEAM) 2018 that will play host key pitstops for 4 major events – the CAPCOM Pro Tour, Tekken World Tour, the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour, and the ArcRevo World Tour. SEA Major Mobile will be there and play host to the Shadowverse Contender’s Cup too.

Here are some of the guests:

Yuya Tokuda – As the director on Monster Hunter: World, he worked on concept design and directed the overall game content. Check out our Monster Hunter: World review here.
Kaname Fujioka – As an Executive Director & Art Director of Monster Hunter: World, he has directed from art to story and was able to literally elevate the world of Monster Hunter.

Motohiro Okubo – He was a producer for TEKKEN 7 and now he is the producer for SOULCALIBUR VI. He is dedicated to making SOULCALIBUR VI a fresh new take on the vs-fighting genre. Check out our interview with Motohiro Okubo during TGS 2018 here.

Elise Zhang – Voice actor, best known as “Mei” in Overwatch. She dubbed for Mei in both English and Mandarin version, and Symmetra in Mandarin version. She is also Lily in Heroes of the Storm, and Alleria Windrunner in HearthStone.

Kenny Omega – The leader of the BULLET CLUB, best known for his time with New Japan Pro Wrestling, where he is the current IWGP Heavyweight Champion. He is also an avid gamer that primarily plays Street Fighter V and taken up doing commentary for Street Fighter matches.
