Remember the good old days where we would go to arcade parks with our friends and spend hours playing the co-op arcade games? To pay tribute to the classic era of arcade side-scrolling co-op games, Capcom is launching the Capcom Belt Action Collection, which it consists of 7 classic beat ’em ups on 20 September!
The collection includes Final Fight (1989), The King of Dragons (1991), Captain Commando (1991), Knights of the Round (1991) and Warriors of Fate (1992), which you may remember from arcades or previous console releases. While Armored Warriors (1994) and Battle Circuit (1997) are being ported to consoles for the first time and are included in the collection.
All the games will be supporting drop-in local and online multiplayer co-op play. Also, a variety of customizable options are available to tailor gameplay such as the number of lives, continues and difficulty. There will be comprehensive galleries too, featuring a time warp of each game’s history including art design and development documents.
Capcom Belt Action Collection will be available digitally on September 20 for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam). A package version will be released from 6 December as well. Do grab the collection if you are a fan of these arcade games!
