Metronomik is Malaysia‘s very own game company founded by Wan Hazmer, the Lead Game Designer of Final Fantasy XV. Together with a team of young creative minds, Metronomik is working on an interesting music-based action IP for PlayStation 4 and PC. We haven’t seen any gameplay or trailer until now, but here is the good news – the game will be showcasing its first playable demo in the upcoming Tokyo Game Show!

Previously as mentioned in our interview with Wan Hazmer, No Straight Roads tells a story about two indie rockers who battle against the rising and dominant EDM record label. The main theme of the music will of course be of the Rock genre but as you move closer to a boss, the music changes into EDM music.
As the battle continues, more Rock music instruments will be heard to indicate your dominance over the boss. The boss is defeated when the Rock music completely replaces the EDM music, however that’s not the end of it as there will be a final form of the boss too which will revive along with EDM playing in the background.
We are glad that our (Malaysia) game industry is growing bigger with a bunch of games getting well-known by the public such as Re:Legend, and we believe No Straight Roads will be successful too with its fresh concept and the teams’ dedication. The game demo will be available in Tokyo Game Show from 20 to 23 September 2018, so give it a go if you are around!
