Yakuza Online is a game for the mobile that’s based off the popular console game, Yakuza. The game by SEGA was first announced back in August 2017. It has been almost a year since they’ve released their first trailer with some gameplay on it back in October 2017. However, not much details were released over these past months, until now. There will be a live-stream on YouTube this August 28th where SEGA will announce information on Yakuza Online.
The game will be coming to both iOS and Android, and even PC this year in Japan. As it is the first game in their “New Yakuza Project”, SEGA will be releasing more info on what they’re up to in the upcoming Sega-Nama broadcast on August 28th, 21:00 JST (20:00 +8 GMT) on their YouTube channel or Niconico.
If you don’t know about the game, Yakuza Online will tell the tale set in Kamurocho. The story will continue right after events that took place in Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. As the Tojo Clan remains to be the strongest clan in Eastern Japan, the Omi Alliance and the police have colluded to take control. As you play the protagonist, Ichiban, who was just released after serving prison for 17 years, you will need to restore the district to its former glory by going against the clan and the government.
