Disgaea is a tactical RPG that was first released for the PlayStation 2 back in 2003. It’s last release of the Disgaea series was in 2015 for the PS4 and later for the Switch in 2017. Now Nippon Ichi Software, the developer for the Disgaea series, has moved on to bring the Disgaea series onto the mobile platform. No we’re not talking about Makai Wars as this is an official game using the Disgaea name as the title.
Nippon Ichi Software had recently announced their collaboration with Sony Interactive Entertainment’s subsidiary studio, ForwardWorks, to develop the Disgaea mobile game. They had even released a teaser trailer which features voice actors from the first Disgaea game, Disgaea: Hour of Darkness.
Currently, there’s not much details on the game yet. However as seen in the teaser trailer, it will most likely be a gacha game, but it will still retain its tactical RPG gameplay. More details will be released soon at Zentame 2018 on August 4th to 5th from 15:40 to 16.10 JST.
