Existing unifi users will be upgraded to unifi Turbo plan with speed up to 800Mbps soon

We first received the good news of unifi Tubo, which it will boost the speed of our current plans 10 times for free earlier this month, now the plan is officially coming true! The new plan, unifi Turbo, will provide speed up to 800Mbps and to be rolled out to existing users starting from 15 August!

The speed upgrade you will receive depends on your current plans as below:

• 20Mbps and below – upgraded to 100Mbps
• 30Mbps – upgraded to 300Mbps
• 50Mbps – upgraded to 500Mbps
• 100Mbps – upgraded to 800Mbps

For those who earn RM4,500 and below, TM is offering a new plan called unifi Basic where you could enjoy 30Mbps with 60 GB quota at only RM79 per month. It will be available exclusively online starting from 15 August, and you can pre-order it from 15 July.

On top on this, about 340,000 Streamyx customers will finally be upgraded to unifi soon, while the rest will be getting 2x speed on their current plans. Or else, they can apply for the unifi wireless broadband at RM79 per month. The unifi Mobile Postpaid plan that provides unlimited data at RM99 per month is reintroduced too.

As we (Malaysians) have been getting slow yet costly internet plans compared to the other countries for so many years, this will be the greatest news of the month yet. Can we finally enjoy videos or play games seamlessly without any lags? We will see when the upgrade rolls out.
