Dead Island: Survivors is a mobile game that is now out for both iOS and Android. From the same developers that made Dead Island for the console back in 2011, the mobile version is different. Optimized for a mobile experience gameplay, the game is not an FPS but more of a tower defense game to defend against the horde of zombies.
There are playable characters that can be unlocked along with a variety of weapons. Because it’s a tower defense game, building traps, turrets and flame-tyres are essential for your survival. Of course, you can still bash the heads off the zombies but at least this time there’s more stuff to do.
You can also hop onto other islands with each have their own themes and terrains. Thanks to its multiplayer capability, you don’t have to play alone but play with your friends instead.
The game was soft-launched for the iOS back in 2016 and a beta was launched for Android. However the game did not launch officially due to unknown reasons until now. It has been 2 years since it was already playable for the iOS but now at least Android users can play it as well.
