Maybank had just introduced a service for PlayStation Network last week! The local Malaysian bank will allow the community to top-up their PlayStation Network account with no surcharge! This is based on their Online Prepaid Reload FAQ which states that there will be ‘No charges imposed on the prepaid reload service by Maybank’. That means the exact amount you’ve reloaded will be reflected onto your PSN account as well!
Currently these are the values you can top-up from the Maybank2u app:
- PlayStation Network (PSN) RM30.00
- PlayStation Network (PSN) RM50.00
- PlayStation Network (PSN) RM100.00
- PlayStation Network (PSN) RM200.00
- PlayStation Plus 3 Months – RM45.00
- PlayStation Plus 12 Months – RM129.00
If you have a Maybank account, all you have to do is:
Step 1
Log into your account at Maybank2u.com.my
Step 2
Click onto “Buy Online”
Step 3
Click “Game Credits with PIN”
Step 4
Select “PlayStation Network (PSN)”
Step 5
Select your preferred top-up value
Step 6
Key in your mobile phone number
Step 7
Request for a TAC and enter the TAC number received
Step 8
Login to your PlayStation Network account and redeem your prepaid card by entering the code you receive through SMS!
Now with the popularity of games and has been made aware by our local banks as well, we now can access and pay easily through these types of services. This also marks as a great milestone for us as we see more ease in our banking needs and hopefully be on par in terms of services and security in more advanced countries. If you have a Maybank account, you can download the app now to make your PSN top-up purchases there!
