Blade II: The Return of Evil will be launching in Korea next week on the 28th of June, 2018. The game that boasted its Unreal Engine 4 graphics on mobile was first announced back in February 2017, during the annual GDC 2017. Back then, they had showcased the game and we were all captured by its beautiful graphics and smooth action that was optimized for mobile. Though the game has been announced for more than a year already, it is finally being launched, but in Korea only, for now.
The game developed by Action Square and published by Kakao Games had launched a media event which revealed that the game was optimized for the Samsung Galaxy S6 phone to enjoy “smooth gameplay”. Of course, if you own any phone that has higher specifications than that or equivalent to a Samsung Galaxy S8, you will be able to play it smoothly.
They have also revealed a new tag system in the game where players can switch between characters at any time during battle. This way, players can throw in some combinations during battle or just to flare it up a little as to not be bored of using the same ‘ol character. Though currently the game only has 4 characters, Action Square has confirmed that there will be more characters being developed now.
As Blade II was having issues with getting a publisher to publish the game until recently for Korea, it is still a ways to go before Kakao Games decides to launch it globally (though they already have global rights too other than China). For now, the game will only be available for South Korea and will be expecting the global launch of the game next year.
If you haven’t pre-register yet, you can still pre-register now to reap the rewards when the game is officially launched! For more info, you can also check out their official site.
