Daemon x Machina is a game that was announced earlier that’s coming to the Nintendo Switch. The game developed by Marvelous is a mecha action game powered by Unreal Engine 4. Some of you might be familiar with the design of the mech and that’s normal because the game is led by former Armored Core developer, Kenishiro Tsukuda.
As Kenichiro Tsukuda calls the game an “Armored Core with destructible environments”, the game will provide more features including multiplayer modes. With destructible environments, players can collapse buildings on top of enemies. Once the enemies are destroyed, players will also be able to pick their weapons up and use it. Players can even use other objects that’s around the environment like cars to be lifted up and thrown or even a post sign to be used as a weapon.
Of course, instead of using the environment, players can purchase other weapons like laser swords and bazookas as well as unlocking new mechs with the currency earned from doing “Orders” – mercenary missions. However the Orders carry some weight in the story of the game as it will determine the progression of the story as well as your allies depending on what Orders you choose.
The game has more depth than it seems just from the trailer. There will be more info released in the coming months and it is due out for the Nintendo Switch worldwide next year, 2019.
