Starting March 12, Square Enix announced that they will hold a fan art competition in celebration for the release of #SQkawaii Sounds – Final Fantasy –. The renowned video game company is formally inviting fans to showcase their own “kawaii” interpretations of their favorite Final Fantasy characters. This initiative aligns with the theme of their recently released compilation album, which reimagines the series’ iconic orchestra music into playful, club-ready tracks with a charmingly cute twist.

From March 12 until 19:00 JST on March 26, Final Fantasy enthusiasts can submit their kawaii-inspired artworks featuring Final Fantasy characters from the album’s cover art. Submissions can then be shared on the recently relaunched Square Enix Music Discord, where a dedicated channel has been set up specifically for this event.
Throughout the duration of this event, submitted artworks will be featured with the artists full credit across Square Enix’s official social media platforms. This exposure presents a unique opportunity for both aspiring and established artists to showcase their work to a broader audience while celebrating the iconic heroines of the Final Fantasy series.
More information regarding the competition or if you have any interest in joining can be found in more detail on the Square Enix Music Discord server.
