Nintendo has officially revealed more details about Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition, set to release on March 20 for Nintendo Switch. A newly released trailer provides a deeper look into the expanded storyline, which builds upon the game’s original ending, offering fresh content that continues the journey of humanity’s struggle for survival on the alien planet Mira. Originally launched on the Wii U in 2015, Xenoblade Chronicles X takes place in 2054, following the destruction of Earth. A small group of survivors crash-lands on Mira, an alien planet filled with diverse environments and hostile creatures. The trailer highlights the game’s signature exploration and combat elements, with players piloting Skells—giant mechs that provide added power and mobility. The Definitive Edition introduces a more intuitive user interface, revamping the original GamePad interface into a streamlined menu system for the Switch, complete with an accessible mini-map.
