While the complete model remains under wraps, the set is scheduled for release in October 2025. Details such as pricing, piece count, and the final design are expected to be revealed as the launch date approaches.
This new Game Boy set adds to the growing collection of Nintendo-themed LEGO products, following the successful Nintendo Entertainment System model released in 2024. The collaboration between the two companies has produced various sets catering to different age groups and collector preferences, from playable Super Mario and Mario Kart sets to more display-oriented pieces like the Piranha Plant and the recently launched $300 Great Deku Tree from The Legend of Zelda series.
Other notable releases in the Nintendo-LEGO lineup include a 16-bit Mario and Yoshi tribute to Super Mario World and an imposing Bowser model. The upcoming Game Boy set appears to follow the precedent set by the LEGO NES, focusing on recreating another beloved gaming system from Nintendo’s history.
