Japan-based game developer PONOS has just announced the pre-registration run for its upcoming title Kyoutou Project.
Kyoutou Project is a mobile tower defense game set in, as hinted in the name, Kyoto, Japan. Users will command a group of elite sword wielders known as the Shinseidan. These warriors have harnessed the spirits of the Shinsengumi to which they will use to take out monsters which have plagued the city.
Taking out hostile lifeforms are but one aspect of the duties of the Shinseidan, as the members also double as idols. Don’t ask us why. For this portion, you will have to manage their idol work activities such as handshaking sessions, photo taking sessions and live performances. As it is the norm with mobile games from Japan, popular seiyuu will voice the many characters in the game, including Iguchi Yuka, Ise Mariya, Sakura Ayane and Kakihara Tetsuya.
Kyoutou Project is scheduled for a release for Android and iOS early Summer 2018.
