A Nintendo Switch specialty store has opened its doors in the Wan Chai district in Hong Kong, marking a significant milestone as Asia’s first large-scale gaming lifestyle destination. The store, which launched on November 14 at Hopewell Mall, includes a dedicated section from renowned Japanese game developer and publisher Cygames.
The new retail space, called Assemble | Nintendo Switch Specialty Store, spans an impressive 12,000 square meters and showcases more than one hundred popular Japanese games across various developer sections. The Cygames area offers visitors hands-on experiences with their Nintendo Switch titles and features an extensive collection of merchandise from popular franchises like Shadowverse and Umamusume: Pretty Derby.
The Cygames section boasts unique decorative elements, including themed décor inspired by Umamusume: Pretty Derby – Party Dash and a distinctive bust of Bahamut, Cygames’ iconic symbol. The merchandise selection includes gaming accessories such as the Shadowverse Playmat featuring Jeanne, Umamusume: Pretty Derby collectibles including a Twin Turbo plush case and Tokai Teio acrylic stand, pin badges, and Cygames-branded matte card sleeves.
Located at Shop 414-415 in Hopewell Mall, 183 Queen’s Road East, Wan Chai, Hong Kong, the Nintendo Switch store represents a new approach to gaming retail in Asia, combining traditional game sales with lifestyle merchandise and interactive experiences.
