Norse is an upcoming game for the mobile by game developing studio, Northplay. The game is touted to be an ARPG for the mobile that is playable with just one of your hands. Of course games like these will be played on a portrait position. The game so far looks good and the devs even made a Developer’s Log to update players pretty frequently on what’s going on so far with the game.
With the game still in development, the game is pretty much almost ready for launch. Since the studio had been working on it all of 2018, they are now ready to launch the beta of the game. From the looks on the video, you swipe to either direction on your screen to move your character. Then you tap on the screen to perform actions which is needed when you encounter monsters. There are also breakable objects around you which will drop materials to complete certain quests or to upgrade your equipment.
The Village is the main town where you’ll spend most of your time in. Quests are provided by the NPC in the village and to do your quests, you just have to head out into the map and collect whatever that is required. There are many different monsters as you explore further on the island. Your character starts off with just 3 hearts and you will lose your hearts when you get hit and die when you lose them all. Once you’ve lost all your hearts, you will be brought back to the village, losing all your resources. Same goes for when your energy bar is depleted.
The energy bar at the bottom of the screen acts as your character’s energy which reflects the amount of time you can spend playing. Once your energy is depleted, you will need to head back to the village to recuperate or you will risk losing all the resources you’ve collected.
If you’re interested in the game, you can be part of the Patron and be a beta tester. Check out their Patreon page to support them too! Once they’ve reached their goal, they’ll continue to have their Developer Logs on a weekly basis.
