Released by Hit-Point, Japanese casual mobile game – Journey Frog (Tabikaeru 旅かえる) has received a huge popularity in a short time across worldwide, with China’s users are especially addicted to it. Noticed its potential, Alibaba has brought over the rights to publish the game in China and here it is, the China version of Journey Frog – Journey Frog: Journey to China (旅行青蛙: 中国之旅).
Obviously (from the title), the main theme of the mobile game is now in China. The frog will be going to China’s famous tourist attractions, as well as bringing back China’s specialty or souvenirs. The items purchasable in the shop are all changed to China’s common items such as Seaweed Fried Tofu, Chives Baked Buns and Jade too.
The China version is currently in closed beta via TaoBao mobile application. I wonder will there be more version of the mobile game (with different countries as the main theme) in the future?
