The Sims 4 Base Game Update Now Available, Featuring Customizable Ghosts and New Grieving Styles

The latest Sims 4 base game update introduces exciting new features, allowing players to now create ghosts in Create a Sim (CAS) and grieve their Sims based on traits and relationships. Additionally, new mermaid urns and gravestones add a mystical touch, while a ‘true black’ color swatch for select shoes perfectly matches the season’s darker vibe.

These updates further deepen gameplay, offering more personalized and emotional interactions with your Sims. Moreover, players can expand the spooky fun with The Sims 4 Halloween Bundle, which includes the Vampires Game Pack, Werewolves Game Pack, and Spooky Stuff Pack, available now through November 2 for $29.99 USD.

Highlights of the Update

• Sims now respond to death based on traits and relationships, from mourning loved ones to showing no emotion for strangers.
• Ghosts can be created in CAS (Child to Elder), with new needs like Goo Waste.
• Sims can choose to “Become a Playable Ghost” or “Freeroaming Ghost” when they die.
• Married Sims can become widowed or “Ask to Stay Married.”
• WooHoo with the Grim Reaper returns!
• Ghosts now cause fewer disturbances, like breaking objects.
• New “Life Event Activity” picture category for funerals, weddings, etc.
• Children taken by Social Workers will be sent to the Household Menu.
• Fieldstone Bonfire Pit and new “true black” color options for shoes have been added.
• Custom gravestones for occults available with packs like Get to Work or Island Living.
• Elder Dog, Cat, and Horse ghosts can now be created if you own Cats & Dogs or Horse Ranch packs.
