LEVEL UP PLAY KL 2024 announced its award winners during the SEA Awards Ceremony, recognizing outstanding achievements in game development and animation across the region. The event, held on October 2, 2024, showcased the vibrant creativity and technical prowess of Southeast Asian creators.
SEA Game Awards 2024
The 7th annual SEA Game Awards, a cornerstone of the LEVEL UP KL event, presented accolades in various categories. “Lost and Found CO.” emerged as a major winner, securing both the Best Visual Art Award and the prestigious Grand Jury Award. The judges honored “Kriegsfront Tactics” for Best Game Design, while “Troublemaker 2: Beyond Dream” claimed the Best Storytelling award.
In the international category, “Copycat” took home the gold, with “Moses & Plato – Last Train to Clawville” and “Yasha Legends of the Demon Blade” earning silver and bronze respectively. The Rising Star Award went to “KISS: K-pop Idol StorieS – Road to Debut,” signaling the diverse themes explored in the region’s game development scene.
Weyrdworks stood out as the Best Development Studio, while “Verde And The Echoing Water” won the hearts of attendees with the Audience Choice Award. The organizers presented a Special Recognition Award to Larian Studio, acknowledging their impact on the industry.

The animation sector saw “The Muralz – Year of The Flying Dragon” dominate multiple categories, including Best Audio Design, Best Animated VFX, Best Animation Motion Graphics, and Gold winner in the Best Animation Shorts Professional category. “KRING! Superhero Java” was recognized for Best Production Design For Animation, while “All We Have Left” took home the award for Best Animation Technical.
In the student category, “Silbi” secured the gold for Best Animation Shorts Students, with “Fuchsia” and “Boy and Bear” following with silver and bronze. “Time Hoppers: The Silk Road” received the International Animation Award, showcasing the global appeal of Southeast Asian animation.
26th DigiCon6 ASIA MALAYSIA CIRCUIT
The DigiCon6 ASIA MALAYSIA CIRCUIT, part of the larger Asian digital content competition, highlighted Malaysian creativity. “The Muralz – Year of The Flying Dragon” continued its winning streak with the Malaysia Gold award. “KRING! Superhero Java” and “Borih, The Bidayuh Paddy Priestess” were awarded Malaysia Best Art and Malaysia Best Story, respectively.
