Tencent subsidiary Saroasis Studios has unveiled their upcoming game, Fate Trigger: The Novita, a free-to-play anime-style hero tactical shooter. The game, powered by Unreal Engine 5, is set to release in 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, iOS, and Android platforms.
A closed alpha test for the PC version will be available on Steam from September 25 at 4:00 a.m. PT to September 30 at 8:59 p.m. PT. Additionally, interested players can request access through the Steam store page or apply via an application or Discord.
Creative Director Jia Heng expressed enthusiasm about the project, stating, “Our team at Saroasis Studios has put in a ton of energy, effort and love to create an exhilarating free-to-play experience for all players to enjoy. The upcoming launch is an incredible milestone for the company and we’re extremely excited to get Fate Trigger: The Novita into the hands of players worldwide.”
Saroasis Studios has set Fate Trigger: The Novita in a unique world of floating islands, where a spreading “Paleblight” disaster threatens the landscape. In addition, players take on the role of an “Awakener,” tasked with uncovering the world’s secrets through combat. The game offers both solo and team-based gameplay, allowing players to scavenge for weapons, craft equipment, and utilize special abilities in aerial battlefields.
The game’s Steam page describes it as a 3D anime-style, hero-based tactical shooter that promises dynamic gameplay and spectacular showdowns. Players will engage in strategic combat while navigating a world dominated by a powerful being in the sky. Moreover, with its multi-platform release and free-to-play model, Fate Trigger: The Novita aims to reach a wide audience of gamers interested in tactical shooters with an anime aesthetic.
