The End is Near for Jujutsu Kaisen Manga

The official X account of Jujutsu Kaisen has tweeted that the manga will end in the next 5 chapters. The manga will officially end on September 30, 2024 with the release of Issue #44 of Weekly Shonen Jump.

Less than a month has passed since the My Hero Academia manga concluded, and undoubtedly many fans are saddened to say goodbye to Jujutsu Kaisen as well. Recent chapters have been intensifying, with key battles and major plot developments indicating that the climax is near.

The Jujutsu Kaisen manga, created by Gege Akutami, first began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump on March 5, 2018. The series quickly gained popularity for its dark themes, complex characters, and intense battles, becoming one of the standout titles in the magazine.

Akutami initially developed Jujutsu Kaisen as a continuation of his earlier work, Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical School, which was published as a short series called Jujutsu Kaisen 0. The success of this prequel motivated Akutami to expand the story into a full series, focusing on a new protagonist, Yuji Itadori, and exploring the world of cursed spirits and sorcerers.

The final chapters will bring the story to a climax, particularly with the anticipated showdown between the protagonists and the powerful cursed spirit Sukuna​. As mentioned, the Jujutsu Kaisen manga will be ending on September 30, 2024.
