Capcom is shutting down Puzzle Fighter

Shortly after its official launch on both Android and iOS last November, Capcom has announced to shut down their Puzzle Fighter mobile game. The game will no longer be available on app stores starting from 1 July, while existing players can still enjoy the game until 31 July.

The developer will be giving out 10,000 in-game gem currency to all players as a thank you gift. The new characters (Regina, Dr. Wily and Ada Wong) and stages (Darminor and Uroboros Laboratory) is now added to the game and is free for all too. All IAP is disabled starting from today as well. Also, the previous Classic Mode special limited event will be available at all times until the server down date.

It is sad to see Puzzle Fighter closing down in such a short time, but according to Capcom‘s statement, they are dedicating all their focus on the flagship zombie series Dead Rising. Does this mean that we can expect a new Dead Rising title coming in the near future?
