The Jujutsu Kaisen Animation Exhibition has made its way to Fahrenheit88 in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, with Malaysia being the first Southeast Asian country to host this event from August 16 to October 20, 2024. The exhibition is open daily from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm, with the last entry at 9:00 pm. The exhibition is divided into four themes: “Cursed Womb Must Die,” “Small Fry and Reverse Retribution,” “Kyoto Sister School Goodwill Event,” and “The Origin of Blind Obedience,” primarily focusing on the first season of the anime and offering fans a retrospective of iconic moments from the series.
Upon entry, visitors receive a character ID card featuring one of six characters (Itadori, Maki, Megumi, Panda, Nobara, or Inumaki) and a brochure for collecting stamps throughout the exhibition. The exhibition features several key areas, including an extensive animation manuscript section showcasing over 100 character action line drawings and main character settings. This section also includes behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with MAPPA animation team members, including Korean director Sunghoo Park.
Visitors can see 1:1 life-sized models of characters like Gojo Satoru, Itadori Yuji, and Sukuna, as well as various settings inspired by iconic scenes from the anime. The exhibition also includes interactive elements such as mini-games, including a baseball-themed challenge, and a photo booth where visitors can pose with characters using their Jujutsu abilities. A merchandise area offers a wide range of products, including lanyards, hats, t-shirts, acrylic stands, posters, and limited-edition collectibles.
Outside the exhibition, visitors can enjoy Jujutsu Kaisen-inspired meals and drinks at a collaboration with Souled Out Café. Menu items include Itadori Mango Mint, Nobara Sparkling Orange, and character-themed dishes, with prices starting from RM10. The exhibition takes approximately one hour to explore fully, or around 30 minutes for those uninterested in the animation manuscripts. The entrance fee is RM55.
