Nintendo has revealed a new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom which showcases core mechanics as well as gameplay along with travelling around Hyrule. It introduces some of the new areas that players can explore during their journey.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom will be released on the Nintendo Switch on September 26, 2024. Check out the Traversing Hyrule trailer below.
The trailer shows us a total of 4 locations in the world of Echoes of Wisdom: Gerudo Desert, Jabul Waters, Eldin Volcano, and Faron Wetlands. Players can use Waypoints, the fast travel system in the game to move between each area. These waypoints can only be unlocked after visiting the aforementioned area. Players can also summon a horse to travel around the world but you’ll need to learn how to make a carrot echo first.
While exploring in Hyrule, you might come across areas where you can’t navigate on your own. The trailer introduces 2 new mechanics for situations like these called Bind and Reverse Bond. Bind allows Zelda to control large objects, uncover treasure, and reposition enemies. Additionally, Reverse Bond lets Zelda follow moving objects, utilizing their abilities for exploration. Combining Bind and Reverse Bond creatively is key to overcoming challenges and progressing in the game.
