Garena Arena of Valor Superman Review – The Man of Steel is quite overpowered

Superman, the Man of Steel has been out in Garena Arena of Valor! Did you have fun playing it or are you having troubles when facing him? We have tried out the hero and here is our simple Superman review where we will introduce you the hero and giving out some tips on how to use him effectively.

With his mobility and abilities scaling base on his max health, Superman is a really powerful hero from early to late game. Check out his abilities below!

Passive – Flight (Physical)

Superman has two modes: flying and walking. He gains 2% movement speed and charges energy for every 100 units he walks, and takes flight once energy is fully charged. Flight mode grants 20% movement speed when moving towards an enemy, and his normal attacks deal additional damage equal to 12% of his own maximum HP. Superman exits Flight mode when he is hit with a control effect that lowers his movement speed to 375 or less.

Ability 1 – Kryptonian Strength (Physical)

Superman uses his ice breath to generate a blizzard that deals 250/500/750/1000/1250/1500 (+1.5 AD) physical damage to enemies and slows their movement speed by 50% for 1 second.

If in Flight mode, Superman rams into enemies dealing (1.0 AD) (+12% Maximum HP) physical damage and then fires his heat vision dealing an additional 250/500/750/1000/1250/1500 (+1.5 AD) physical damage.

Ability 2 – Man of Steel (Physical)

Superman unleashes his full power, which immediately frees him from control effects and significantly increases his movement speed.

If in Flight mode, Superman will slam the ground and knock back enemies, dealing 335/470/605/740/875/1010 (+1.12 AD) physical damage as well as rid himself of control effects and increase his movement speed.

Ultimate – Speeding Bullet (Physical)

Superman taps into his full potential, which increases his charge up speed by 100% for 10 seconds.

If in Flight mode, Superman will ram into his enemies and knock them back, dealing (1.0 AD) (+12% Maximum HP) physical damage, and have his charge up speed increased by 100% for 10 seconds.

Superman is a really powerful hero: As a Warrior, he can crash enemy team formation by jumping in or pushing the enemies. He could also roam around to harass the enemy team carries and chase those who are running low to eliminate them with his burst damage. He can clear minions and push tower really quick too!

However, his true potential only shows when he is in Flight mode so you will need to charge up energy always to activate the Flight mode (which means you will have to move all the time, sometimes it is quite tiring). Depends on the situation, you will need to use different abilities to bring more advantage to your team too.

For example, if there are multiple enemies sticking together, you can use your ultimate skill to push everyone towards a wall as well as stunning them and let your teammates finish them off (you will need your teammates’ cooperation).

Also, although Superman is deadly, he is scared of heroes with control abilities too (for example, Aleister and his Magic Prison). Superman can’t really do anything if he is slowed or stunned but thanks to his second abilities, Man of Steel, he will have a chance to cleanse all the control effect and run away. It is recommended to bring Purify talents to remove all debuffs and more importantly, provide a higher survivability for Superman.

Below is my usual item build:

Gilded Graves is useful for Superman to get rid of disables, while Crimson Banner and Gaia’s Standard help him in recovering his health. Muramasa is for armor pierce and alternatively, you can choose Rankbreaker if your opponent has less tanker and more marksman. You could take Mail of Pain too if your team is not tanky enough as it deflects damages to the opponent. Shield of the Lost provides good attributes while reducing enemies’ attack speed. Lastly, Ancestral Glory provides you with a second life after death.
