Introducing Sonic Speed Battle, The Spirit of Sonic Adventures 2 Battle in Card Form

SEGA announced a new partnership with KessCo, introducing their second Sonic The Hedgehog tabletop game, Sonic Speed Battle. KessCo has just revealed more details about their tabletop game, officially licensed by Sega of America.

Sonic Speed Battle captures the essence of Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, offering three quick and fun card games for 2-4 players. The game will first be available at Barnes & Noble both in-store and online in summer 2024, followed by a wider retail release on Target and Amazon online.

Sonic Speed Battle features 24 iconic Sonic characters from across the franchise! Enjoy three dynamic battle modes, each offering a unique gameplay experience. Players can challenge friends to test their speed, gear up for a shooting battle showdown, or prove their Master Emerald hunting skills!

Since its launch in 2016, KessCo has consistently driven innovation in the toy industry with its successful intellectual properties. As the company grows, KessCo plans to expand its licensing efforts, with Sonic the Hedgehog being one of its most highly anticipated entertainment licenses to date.

Previously, KessCo released a board game called Sonic Roll which is a 1-4 player semi-cooperative game that features Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Knuckles. Together, players must overcome obstacles and defeat series antagonist Dr. Eggman.
