HoYoverse’s newest free-to-play gacha action RPG, Zenless Zone Zero earns $24 million after officially reaching 50 million downloads just days after launch.
According to initial sales data from AppMagic, Zenless Zone Zero, has achieved roughly $23.5 million in revenue merely five days after the game’s launch. This data presented considers revenue from both Apple’s App Store and the Google Play Store, so notably does not include any of Zenless Zone Zero’s earnings on PC or PS5.
The $23.5 million in revenue that Zenless Zone Zero has generated shows that 51% of this came from China. Japan follows closely behind with 25%, reflecting the country’s enduring passion for RPGs despite a declining market.
The United States contributes 8% to Zenless Zone Zero’s total earnings, mirroring the spending patterns observed in Honkai: Star Rail—China leads, followed by Japan, and then the US. Despite setting new records in pre-registrations and early downloads, Zenless Zone Zero earns only $24 million in the first five days which lag behind those of its predecessors during their respective launch periods.
In a statement, the Zenless Zone Zero team is happy with the early success of the game but is hungry for more.
Statement from an official post:
Of course, to live up to everyone’s expectations and truly become a city of miracles, we are aware that there are still lots of improvements to be made. We encourage all Proxies to provide feedback and suggestions via our official channels.
Zenless Zone Zero launched with a variety of agents on July 4, 2024, for PC, Android, iOS, and PS5.
