Natsu-Mon! 20th Century Summer Kid Western Release on August 6

Publisher Spike Chunsoft has just announced that Natsu-Mon 20th Century Summer Kid will have a Western release on August 6, 2024.  The open-world adventure game will be available on the Switch via Eshop and PC via Steam. A Switch demo will be available on July 30.

Toybox and Millennium Kitchen developed the game, which represents the latest work of Kaz Ayabe, creator of several games themed around summer vacation and childhood nostalgia. Previously, the game first launched on the Switch on July 28, 2023 in Japan, followed by PC on June 27, 2024.

Satoru, the son of a circus ringmaster, just arrived in a seaside town surrounded by nature. Enjoy a special summer in rural Japan, where you’ll meet many people and have amazing experiences. In the game’s open world environment go to various locations without loading times or screen changes. Swim in the sea, climb up the mountain, take a train to the neighboring town… Immerse yourself in this seamless world as you go on your adventure. Have fun interacting with both the people who live in the town and your fellow circus troupe members. As you spend your summer days in town, you will even be asked to direct the circus. A heartwarming summer vacation adventure awaits you.

The game will immerse players in reliving their childhood adventures with lifelike 3D recreations of quaint shopping districts and charming single-car trains. Furthermore, it will feature a dynamic environment where time passes and weather conditions change in real-time, adding depth and authenticity to the journey. Finally, the game will allow you to explore the world and reconnect with the childhood joys of exploration, creating new memories in a world brimming with possibilities. Similarly, to Natsu-Mon 20th Century Summer Kid having a Western release, another adventure game is coming to the Switch and PC soon.
