Zenless Zone Zero producer Zhenyu Li commented on the potential release of Zenless Zone Zero on Nintendo’s next-generation successor to the Switch console. Earlier this July, Hoyoverse, the developer behind Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, released its new free-to-play gacha action RPG, Zenless Zone Zero, on PC, PS5, and mobile devices.
Zhenyu Li, in an interview with Famitsu (translated by Nintendo Everything) said that he was open to the idea as he is a big fan of Nintendo. Li is thinking about how to make this game available across platforms, and that includes Nintendo. Currently, the priority regarding Zenless Zone Zero is increasing the quality on the platforms they planned to work on.
Translated highlights here:
“Currently our highest priority is increasing the quality regarding the platforms that we plan to work with. As we continue the development process, we think we will find the possibilities for this. Of course, there is an assumption it will be made into an excellent experience, and as a personal fan of Nintendo I will be very happy to see that become a reality.”
Unlike its prior titles, Zenless Zone Zero is an urban fantasy sci-fi action RPG, which contains the same stylish action gameplay of its predecessors. Likewise, the new action game feels like Devil May Cry, where players unleash a flurry of combo attacks and character abilities, filling the screen with dashes, acrobatic moves, and flashy effects.
Furthermore, players can also pull for a variety of characters through its gacha system by spending in-game currency. Hoyoverse released Zenless Zone Zero on July 4, 2024, on PC, Android, iOS, and PS5. Regarding the Zenless Zone Zero release on the Switch successor, gamers will have to wait.
