Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Hits New Milestone with 5 Million Sales

The official Twitter account of Elden Ring has just revealed that they have reached 5 million sales for Shadow of the Erdtree. It has only been a week since the expansion’s release and they’ve already hit that milestone and will probably get more as time goes on. Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is available on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.

Since the release of the Elden Ring, fans have been waiting for the DLC’s release since the 1st anniversary of the game which was when the announcement was made. There was a lot of anticipation and expectation for the DLC and FromSoftware delivered on that promise as the expansion launched with critical acclaim, becoming the highest rated DLC of all time with an aggregate score of 95 on Metacritic.

Before the DLC was launched, the base game had sold over 25 million copies according to a post on X by the developers alongside a thank you message to the fanbase. This happened a week before the release of Shadow of the Erdtree. It had sold 20 million back in February 2023 across the globe, just a year after its release.
