Computer storage manufacturer Kingston has announced that the Kingston XS1000 External SSD has been named a winner of the 2024 Red Dot Award: Product Design.
For the uninitiated, the Red Dot Design Award is one of the world’s largest and most prestigious design competitions that was established in 1955. The completion would receive more than 20,000 submissions from approximately 60 countries worldwide annually.
The Kingston XS1000 External SSD is a file backup solution designed to ensure important documents, memories, and media files are readily accessible.
Weighing less than 29 grams, this compact storage drive is designed to fit in the palm of your hand, suitable for an on-the-go lifestyle.
Despite its size, the XS1000 offers read speeds up to 1,050MB/s and large capacities up to 2TB.
“We take pride in receiving the Red Dot Design Award as it highlights our commitment to sleek and portable storage solutions,” said Kingston.
“We designed the XS1000 with the user in mind, offering unparalleled portability for those who value both convenience and performance.”
To celebrate the device winning the Red Dot Award, Kingston will be running a special promotion running from June 25 to July 8, 2024. With the purchase of any XS1000 Portable SSD at selected stores, customers can receive an RM15 voucher.
Vouchers are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
