Uncharted 2 Movie Officially In Development

Sony has just announced Uncharted 2 movie is officially in development. For now, we are not sure about the cast as it has not been confirmed if they are returning for the sequel.

Uncharted is a 2022 American action adventure film directed by Ruben Fleischer and an adaptation to Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Uncharted game. It stars Tom Holland as Nathan Drake and Mark Wahlberg as Victor Sullivan, with Sophia Ali, Tati Gabrielle in her feature film appearance debut, and Antonio Banderas in supporting roles.

In Uncharted, the ending of the movie hinted at a sequel with the post credits scenes. One featuring Nathan’s brother, Sam still alive and in prison. While the second sees Nathan discussing Nazi maps with a new character, Gage, played by Pilou Asbaek who betrays Nathan. Sully makes his appearance just in time to save the day, sporting his iconic mustache. They are later stopped by an unknown figure leaving to interpretation on how it went after. This was a perfect set-up for a sequel with Nathan and Sully recognizing said figure.

Despite getting mixed reviews, Uncharted (2022) performed well enough to earn over $407 million at the box office and a 90% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

As of now, there are no confirm release dates and no mentions of the plot. However, the Uncharted 2 movie will most likely continue where it left off in the prequel seeing the continuation of Nathan and Sully’s adventure. In other news, Super Mario Bros sequel has gotten its release date announced.
