After its initial announcement last year at The Game Awards, the latest Dragon Ball fighting game Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero just got an official release date.
Announced at today’s Summer Games Fest 2024, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is confirmed to be coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, on October 11, 2024.
Alongside the release date announcement is a fancy new trailer that showcases more glimpses at gameplay, as well as several scenes depicting iconic moments from the series.
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is a spiritual successor and a new entry in the Budokai Tenkaichi series, pitting players against each other in typical Dragon Ball fashion in a 3D arena, featuring your usual beam crashes and speedy teleports.
The game has a confirmed roster size of 164 playable characters and variants, with several fighters already confirmed, including fan-favorites like Goku, Goku, and Goku… as well as Vegeta, Vegeta, and Vegeta.
Aside from the poster child of Dragon Ball, a trailer that debuted last week confirmed that fusion characters such as the likes of Vegito and Gotenks will join the roster.
As mentioned, the release date of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is October 11, 2024, for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
