Netflix Brings Animated Films and Series of All Genres, Coming 2024 and Beyond

Netflix is going all in on animated shows, with an exciting lineup of animated films and series coming in the 2024 and the next year!

With more than 130M members watching a variety of animation every month, here’s a sneak peak of what fans can look forward to with new films and series, and some returning favorites:

Arcane: Season 2 – 2024 Series

Coming hot off the heels of the first season, Arcane will return to the story of Jinx and Vi, alongside some new yet familiar faces such as Caitlyn, Ekko, Jayce, Singed, Heimerdinger, and Viktor.

My Oni Girl – 2024 Film

My Oni Girl tells the story of Hiiragi Yatsuse, a first-year high school student who struggles to make friends despite his efforts to please others. His life takes an unexpected turn when, one summer day, he meets Tsumugi, an oni (demon) girl on a quest to find her mother in the human world.

Produced by the cutting-edge Studio Colorido and directed by Studio Ghibli alumni Tomotaka Shibayama, this youth fantasy film brings together human emotions and mythical elements in a heartwarming narrative.

Ultraman Rising – 2024 Film

In partnership with Netflix, Tsuburaya Productions, and Industrial Light & Magic, Ultraman: Rising is written by Shannon Tindle and Marc Haimes, directed by Shannon Tindle, and co-directed by John Aoshima.

With Tokyo under siege from rising monster attacks, baseball star Ken Sato reluctantly returns home to take on the mantle of Ultraman. But the titanic superhero meets his match when he reluctantly adopts a 35-foot-tall, fire-breathing baby kaiju.

Big Mouth (Season 8) – 2025 Series

Inspired by Kroll and Goldberg’s childhoods, it follows a group of friends and their hormone monsters as they navigate adolescence, human sexuality, and coming of age.

The final season, which will air in 2025, will make Big Mouth the longest running series in Netflix history, outside of Kids and Family programming.

Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl – 2025 Film

Gromit’s concern that Wallace is becoming too dependent on his inventions proves justified, when Wallace invents a “smart” gnome that seems to develop a mind of its own. When it emerges that a vengeful figure from the past might be masterminding things, it falls to Gromit to battle sinister forces and save his master … or Wallace may never be able to invent again!
