Honkai Star Rail Yunli reveal shows contradicting element

Honkai Star Rail Yunli reveal has dropped on X and players can already see the contradicting element with her appearance. Her splash art depicts a fire background but her element is physical. She follows the path of destruction and is a sword hunter from the Xianzhou Zhuming. A place we haven’t been to but has been mentioned several times during our time on the Xianzhou Luofu. She is the granddaughter of the Arbiter General Huaiyan.

This is not the first time that HoYoverse has thrown a curveball at us when it comes to character elements. The first character to do that was Luka with his overall red appearance. Most fans assumed that he would be a fire type character who funnily enough also turned out to be a physical type like Yunli.

Lynx was the next character to do that with her ice motif but ultimately was revealed to be a quantum type. The latest entry to this would be Sparkle. With her name implying sparks, we all assumed that she might be fire too but is a quantum character.

While we don’t know much beyond what is shown for now for Yunli, she was teased during the anniversary event and Jing Yuan thought that Yanqing and her make a good pair.
