With the exciting GOLDEN COIN RUSH event currently underway in Goddess of Victory: Nikke, a real-life Coin Rush Cafe is also happening at Craft Cafe Taman Connaught, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia! Hopping into this rabbit hole greets you, Commanders with the beautiful bunny girl Nikke, but in real life! Yes, you get to meet Alice, Soda, Viper, and Folkwang for real.
This lovely cafe will be running from June 1st until June 18th, 2024, and there are 2 different tickets – 1 normal and the other premium. The difference is that premium gives you more Nikke merch for your own indulgence and is only available on weekends. The normal one costs RM 50, while the premium is RM 60 and is for reserved only. But why should you get the premium? Well, the Nikke Bunny Squad Services will only make their grand appearances during the weekend and walk-ins are not accepted on those days.
In other words, you might want to reserve yourself a premium if you would like to be serviced by some bunnies. As mentioned, yes, visiting this cafe will also yield you some Nikke merch, themed after the bunnies of the GOLDEN COIN RUSH event, and there are also Gems to collect to get more chances to pull for Soda and Alice in-game. If you want to learn more about the Coin Rush Cafe in Malaysia, you can read the event rundown here – also, the cafe is available in Singapore as well.
Alice in Bunny Land
So what can you expect in this wonderland? First, when you arrive at the cafe, you will get to meet Soda and Alice welcoming you as standees. Get yourself your Nikke-filled door gift at the counter, head to your table, and be ready for a fun day ahead.
The entire cafe is decorated fully with Goddess of Victory: Nikke goodness, not just from the GOLDEN COIN RUSH event – but also many iconic characters such as Crown and Modernia as standees everywhere begging for some photos. There are also giant poker cards hanging from the ceiling for the full GOLDEN COIN RUSH experience.
The table is also covered with Nikke awesomeness with a little Mustang spreading his cultured joy to you as you wait for your meal.
Food of EEEEEE-ntertainment
Time for the food! There are 3 sets of meals on the Special Nikke Menu to choose from – Coin Rush Luscious Pesto Pasta, Coin Rush Golden Curry Rice, and Coin Rush Spaghetti Deluxe. All of them come with the same drink – the Rose Lychee, with Mustang dancing on top.
The one I chose to indulge myself in is the Coin Rush Spaghetti Deluxe, which comes with some chicken cutlet and a little Blanc smiling at you. Overall, I have no complaints about the taste, but the portion may feel small if you are a big eater. That said, it’s the experience that counts, right?
Bunny, Bunny, Bunny!
And for the highlight, the beautiful cosplayers who will be present to give you some bunny services. Different week features different cosplayers and characters, so be sure to check on the official Facebook page to see who you would like to meet.
For my session, I got to meet Viper, Soda, Alice, and Folkwang, all in their bunny suits and cosplayed superbly by their cosplayers – very stunning. They are not just there for show, because they will be serving you food, performing, and such to keep you smiling wide. Such performances include a walk show and a Q&A session where you can interact more with them.
If you have the Nikke Coin Rush Cafe Bunny Services Stamp Card, you can also top up Gems to unlock more Bunny Services such as playing rock paper scissors with them or having some video session. Besides that, the cafe will also have the classic “moe moe kyun” magic service to magically enhance the flavor of your food, so just remember to shout out the magic word together with the bunnies.
Not only that you get to receive door gifts, but you could also have a selfie photoshoot with the cosplayers at the cafe! Hunger for more merch, there is also a Lucky Merch Draw for a chance to win more. The lucky draw is open for all with a stamp card, just top up Gems to the max to participate, and of course, topping up also means you get the Bunny Services.
Bunny Fever is Real
Commanders… this experience is well worth it. You can enjoy good food, interact with your favorite Nikke characters, and just have an overall good time. It can feel crowded, but getting to just enjoy an environment fully decorated with Nikke, with cosplayers interacting with you, is one experience worthy for the fan of the game.
If you want to hop into this rabbit hole, do keep in mind that walk-ins are only available on weekdays, while on weekends, you would have to reserve a spot. Also, check on the schedule to see when the bunnies are coming, or else, you might miss them.
