Cygames, the video game publisher and developer of the Granblue Fantasy series, has announced the establishment of a new overseas branch in Singapore.
Established in May 2024, the Singapore branch will focus on the promoting and marketing of its titles in the Asian regions with Masafumi Chiba leading as Managing Director.
The Tokyo-based publisher first established its Global Business Development team in 2017, followed by branches in Korea and Taiwan for overseas marketing and promotion.
Last year, Cygames American and Cygames Europe were established, with Cygames Singapore now following. Cygames’ establishment in Singapore has a capital of 1 million Singapore Dollars.

With Cygames established in Singapore, it joins other a growing cast of Japanese companies setting up Southeast Asia branches, such as the likes of Capcom, SEGA, Bandai Namco Entertainment, and more.
Cygames was established in 2011 by CyberAgent and is a game publisher and development behind notable franchises such as Uma Musume Pretty Derby, Princess Connect! Re:Dive, Shadowverse, and Rage of Bahamut.
The studio is best known for its Granblue Fantasy series with its most recent title being the spin-off action JRPG Granblue Fantasy: Relink, which sold over 1 million copies worldwide in only 11 days of release.
