Brewing with a passion for video games – Well, you’re in luck because GamerBraves, Malaysia’s leading English gaming news site, is currently hiring journalists and video editors!
Both positions are paid, in-office positions based in Kota Damansara, and are only open to Malaysian residents over the age of 18. A good command of the English language will be required. The position is open for both full-time and interns, so if you are a student on internship, please be encouraged to apply!
Note: The internship position is only open to currently enrolled college and university students who seek practical training. Documentation from the university or college regarding the internship must be provided as proof.
At GamerBraves, you will be publishing coverage of the latest news and ongoing trends happening in the games industry. Naturally, you’ll be required to keep abreast of all things happening on topics of video games and pop culture.

Journalist (Full-Time / Internship)
As a member of the GamerBraves editorial team, you will be keeping a keen eye on all things happening in the games industry. Whether it’s new studios by the brightest lights of the industry or potential release dates for some of the most anticipated titles, you’ll need to be able to create coverage that is accurate, concise, and to the point – no burying the lede.
However, don’t think you’ll just be standing at the sidelines shouting out every gacha game going into pre-registration because you’ll also be reviewing some of the hottest titles, a lot of the time before anyone else gets the chance to get their hands on them.
We’ll need critics with an absolute love for the craft – with the ability to share complex concepts and break them down for the average reader, highlighting some of the best titles of the year. Naturally, your ability to keep a secret will also be mandatory – all your opinions, screenshots and more will have to have a strict adherence to any embargoes.
Finally, don’t forget our host of interviews – just this year we’ve interviewed not just big names in the games industry, but also celebrities, VTubers, and other influential figures in entertainment, from SHIFT UP CEO Hyung-Tae Kim, Unicorn Overlord producer Akiyasu Yamamoto, to City Hunter actor Ryohei Suzuki to even VTuber OniGiri, and more!

Naturally, knowing how to be professional and organized when it comes to delivering tasks on time is important here.
Some level of trend awareness is also expected as content creation is all about striking it while the iron is hot, and everything is still fresh on the boat. That means you’ll need to be able to create videos about what’s trending if you want your voice to be heard.
