Overwatch Omnic Uprising Is Making A Come Back With More Lore!

Jeff Kaplan and Tim from the Overwatch Team has just released a video of their coming update from the Overwatch Archives. The Overwatch Archives are what stores the histories and events of the Overwatch. Now that Jeff is bringing that up, that means the upcoming update will bring a sequel to the Omnic uprising lore.

The previous Omnic Uprising event was a PVE mode where you play as Reinhardt, Torbjorn, Mercy or Tracer to defend against the Omnic crisis. With the upcoming event, Jeff said that they are bringing back Overwatch’s past histories as content for players to relive through that experience, expanding the lore and understanding Overwatch histories with Uprising being one of those events.

During the developers update video, Jeff also hinted us on one of the skins that will be coming for one of the Shimada brothers. Though he mentioned that it will be our “favourite” Shimada brother, we all could guess that it’s probably going to be Hanzo. The old Uprising contents will also be included in the loot boxes along with other brand new content.
