Developer and publisher Supergiant Games have announced the opening of early access for Hades II on Steam.
The long awaited sequel to Hades has opened early access to the public at an initial price of RM72.
Similar to its predecessor, Hades II is a roguelike action RPG that mostly takes place in the underworld of Greek mythology as players follow Zagreus’ sister, Melinoe on her journey to reach the surface and kill Chronos.
In Supergiant Games’ announcement post on Steam, they mentioned that Hades 2 was designed for Early Access since the start, and that they look forward to hearing feedback about the game from players. They promised that the feedback will be used to plan for the rest of the game’s production and ensure everything from the balance to the narrative are working as well as possible.
The game’s first major update is slated for later this year, although no specific date has been given yet.
They also warned that the true ending has not been implemented into the early access, and thus players that would want to get the full picture of the story might want to wait until the game’s official release before purchasing it.
Alongside the early access, an original soundtrack album for Hades II is now available for purchase on Steam. Just like the game itself, the list of songs included in the album will increase as development continues.
