DeNA Digital Production has been renamed to Pokemon Card D Studio and is a subsidiary focusing on the development of the recently announced Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket.
As announced, DeNA Digital Production was a studio jointly established by The Pokemon Company and DeNA, and now it has undergone a name change as of April 26, 2024.
The company is 66.6% owned by DeNA, and 33.4% owned by The Pokemon Company.
The Pokemon Card D Studio’s establishment aims to provide stable global service for Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket, by utilizing the know-how and achievements gathered over the years through the development of Pokemon Masters EX, another mobile game by DeNA in collaboration with The Pokemon Company.
Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket was announced in February of this year, and it is a new title that turns the physical card game into a mobile game.
Aside from bringing the card game experience into mobile, the game’s announcement also promised players that two booster packs will be given out for free every day with no additional cost.
The game is slated to launch sometime this year for iOS and Android devices, with no exact release date being announced yet.
Creatures Inc., the original developers of the Pokemon Trading Card Game, will be developing the game alongside DeNA.
