Developer Warhorse Studios has officially announced the upcoming release of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, a sequel to 2018 role-playing game Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
The announcement was made through the release of a 13-minute reveal video showcasing the world and people of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.
Set and shot in Kuttenberg, Europe (which also happens to be the location of the game), the reveal is narrated by lead actors Tom McKay and Luke Dale.
Following in the footsteps of its predecessor, the game will be a thrilling action RPG set amid the chaos of a civil war in 15th Century Bohemia.
The story will once again follow Henry on his quest for revenge after barely surviving an invasion of his village which killed his family. However, the game’s story will be arranged in such a way that newcomers will be able to understand his story without playing the first game.
Creative Director Daniel Vavra says that Kingdom Come: Deliverance II will be the manifestation of the original vision of the game that they were unable to produce for Kingdom Come: Deliverance due to a lack of resources and experience at the time.
In addition to around 5 hours of cutscenes and a longer story, the size of the world has been doubled in size compared to the first game.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is stated for a 2024 release on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
