Gaming Factory has announced a collaboration between JDM: Japanese Drift Masters and the popular car brand, Subaru.
Through a teaser, the developers have announced an official license signing with Subaru, confirming that the renowned car brand will be joining the game.
With the collaboration, JDM: Japanese Drift Master can now implement iconic models of the Subaru brand into the game world, adding a layer of realism and authenticity by featuring real-life car models.
While no other car brand-related announcements were made alongside this collaboration, it does mean that heir is a possibility for other car brands to be featured in JDM: Japanese Drift Master, such as the iconic Nissan GTR or Honda NSX, just to name a few.
As of writing, JDM: Japanese Drift Master is planned for release in 2024 on PC, however, no official date has been announced. A free prologue for the game titled ‘JDM: Rise of the Scorpion’ is currently available on Steam, which serves as an introduction to the storyline of the game.
JDM: Japanese Drift Master is a racing game that is developed by Gaming Factory, with the company working with 4Divinity for the global release of the game.
First announced on 27th April 2023, the game aims to allow players to experience realistic drifting while exploring the open world and charm of Haikama Lake.
A demo was launched on October 9th, 2023, with a few updates being implemented into the game according to player feedback. The demo lasted for 4 months and ended in February 2024.
