Electronic Arts (EA) Games has announced that the mobile game Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes will be receiving an official PC Port.
Originally released in 2015, players have been using various methods to play the game on PC, such as using Android emulation, but now EA Games has finally decided to make an official port to PC.
As reported by Game Informer, the developers were able to double the frame rate to 60 frames per second (fps). Furthermore, they also implemented anti-aliasing and higher resolution settings so players can take advantage of the power of high-end PCs.
Alongside this, the game’s layout has also been adjusted for the PC version, accompanied by improved visuals.
Controls for the game have been overhauled as well, with the PC version supporting mouse and keyboard controls, and even key binds. However, controller support will not be available for the PC version.
The developers have also mentioned that longtime players from the mobile version will be able to bring over all their progress by linking their mobile account to their EA account when playing on PC for the first time. Future updates will also be synced between both versions.
“All future updates will release on both mobile and PC platforms simultaneously,” the team said, “The PC and mobile version will always be in lockstep and release updates at the same time.”
Those who have already been playing the mobile version of Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes will receive Beta access to the PC version in May. Players interested in the closed beta can also register on their official website.
