With the release of ASTRA: Knights of Veda, we have prepared a tier list of the current Knights in the game to help decide who to pull or prioritize building.
The Knights of Veda are varied and come with a wide range of abilities, so here is a tier list to ease you into your quest to collect the Fragments of Veda.
Do note that ASTRA: Knights of Veda emphasizes team building elemental diversity so characters may perform differently depending on the current composition and scenario. Keep an eye out for their respective roles when team building for more optimized damage and defense.
The criteria for each ranking are as follows:
Rating(s):
- S Tier – The folks who excel at fulfilling their role in most scenarios, from story to endgame.
- A Tier – Still an excellent batch of characters, only falling slightly behind the S-tier units.
- B Tier – Still worth the investment and can be solid in certain teams or circumstances.
- C Tier – Situational.
- D Tier – Very situational. Not recommended unless under a specific scenario or if you love the character.
Also, take note that the tier list is based on early impressions of the game with all Knights at Fate 1, so a Knights’s placement and strength may differ in the future when more content drops and Fates for certain Knights become more accessible.
ASTRA: Knights of Veda Tier List
S | |
Xanthia |
Of course the Day 1 rate up Knight will be at the top of the tier list. Has excellent amounts of crowd control with her skill and ultimate and can be used both as an on-field DPS or as off-field support. |
Saeya |
Her attacks mark enemies who will restore HP to her own allies when attacked. In theory a 1 man army who can sustain herself well enough to carry her team. |
Edward |
Deals a mighty amount of damage and has a very short cooldown on his skill. His skill and ultimate both have a surprisingly large horizontal range for a melee unit. |
Sansar |
Can boost her own Crit rate as well as buffing her own attack to devastating levels. Her ultimate summons a wolf companion whose stats scale off hers, effectively almost doubling her damage output. |
A | |
Atterisee |
The best debuffer in the game as of now. Does AoE damage with her charged attacks as well, which is surprisingly uncommon among ranged units. |
Arin |
She has potential to buff her fellow Dark units by lowering the enemies' resistance to Dark, and does damage befitting a 5-star Knight. The only reason she is in A tier instead of S is because Edward and Sansar do more with their kit. |
Albert |
The only Knight at the moment who can increase stamina regeneration rate with his ultimate, and by a noticeable amount too. The statue that is summoned with it also shares his max HP and makes a great temporary tank for drawing enemy aggro. |
Nayan |
A 4-star version of Saeya with a hammmer. Her healing ability outside her ultimate sadly pales in comparison. |
B | |
Sarka |
He does decent elemental damage, but sadly does nothing to stand out compared to other 5-star Knights. |
Eliyar |
Given how narrow some of the stages are, her traps will always be useful. However, it's hard to get full uptime out of her ultimate as it essentially forces her to stand stationary to deal damage, which most enemies will not let you do. |
Capecchi |
A strong DoT applier who performs well in both PvP and PvE content, but requires a lot of investment to really shine. |
Lucian |
He works similarly to Saeya by marking enemies using his skill which can also heal attacking Knights, but brings less damage to the table compared to Saeya and Nayan, instead focusing on the healing aspect. |
Ardor |
He likes his fireworks, and who am I to stop him? Uses explosive arrows to do a ton of damage. |
Liam |
Does a lot of damage just like Ardor, but might need more support from allies as he doesn't bring much additional utility. |
Andrei |
A decent Fire DPS with a lot of AoE baked into his kit. Similar to Liam, requires some support as a result of being a pure damage dealer. |
Marthel |
Essentially a 4-star version of Sarka. |
C | |
Rani |
Her skills seems strong on paper, but in practice does a mediocre amount of damage. Her laser beam ultimate also suffers from the short vertical range that all ranged Knights deal with and can miss despite its width. |
Orlik |
A better version of Leon who can grant allies resistance to being interrupted by enemy attacks. Other than that he doesn't do much. |
D | |
Leon |
Don't let his off-field shields deceive you into thinking he is better than he actually is. His skill doesn't absorb enough damage to make a difference. |
Yanko |
The turret could draw a little bit of enemy aggro, but usually does not have enough HP to survive for its full duration unless you place someone else in between it and the enemy, neither does it do much damage. His ultimate's bind does not work on bosses, and binding a single mob as a single target damage dealer does not work out well since they typically come in packs. |
Hopefully, this tier list can help you plan ahead efficiently on which Knights to spend resources on or who to target when pulling. However, as with any gacha game, we recommend you invest in a character you like rather than blindly following the meta.
